Bordeaux without any doubt remains the world’s most important wine region. In Bordeaux  region today, there are 7.375 different chateaux, producing close to 900 million bottles of wine per vintage!

This overview covers the appellations with the best terroir and all the top chateaux in Bordeaux. 

• Medoc - St. Estephe, Pauillac, St. Jullien, Margaux - all first, second, third, fourth en fifth growths
• Pessac Leognan (Graves)
• Sauternes
• St. Emilion
• Pomerol

My love for the Bordeaux wine region started some years ago. Visiting Chateau Haut-Bailly, Giscours and Kirwan, I was struck by the history and atmosphere. Add to this the unsurpassed quality and aging potential of the wines, the variety in wines between the different appellations and the international succes. I was sold!

Dreaming to visit all high-quality Bordeaux Chateaux en Vineyards, I couldn't find a proper complete overview and map. That's when I descided to create one myselves.

Hopefully it will inspirate other Bordeaux lovers or winelovers in general. I'm always open for comments and feedback.
